The 2017 Lean & Computing in Construction Congress(LC3) took place in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, 4-12 July 2017. It was a unique Construction Congress, comprising three co-located conferences, an industry day, and PhD summer schools grouped into four main events:
The Joint Conference on Computing in Construction (JC3)
The 34th CIB W78 Information Technology for Construction Conference
The 17th International Conference on Construction Applications of Virtual Reality
8th - 9th July
BIM Summer School
Lean Construction Summer School
The LC3 Industry Day will bring together leaders in Lean and BIM: from construction companies and software vendors, from design firms and academia, both experts and those just beginning their Lean and BIM journeys.
The industry day will include the Construction Innovation Competition, a forum for people with novel ideas and startup companies to impress the crowd
The 25th Annual Conference of the International Group for Lean Construction
LC3 will also include a doctoral paper competition, the LC3 Mentoring programme, and several social and networking events. This unique Congress provides exceptional value for academic researchers and industry practitioners.
We welcome submissions from academia and from industry on all areas of Computing and Lean in the broader Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Facilities Management (AEC/FM) industry. Similar to computer science conferences, LC3 has a single submission and peer-review stage (i.e. short abstract submission is optional), with re-reviews only when requested by the reviewers.
LC3 promises to be an exciting congress with regard to the quality and diversity of its participants. LC3 will promote and value high-quality contributions to the Construction IT and Management community by offering unique value to authors and to the community, including:
- Best papers as keynote speeches
- Best papers in special issues of international journals
- Open Access
- DOI numbers
- Presentation Videos
We look forward to seeing you in Crete!
